BE ON HOLIDAY IN NATURE EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR

This stand has a lovely view over Leeupoort, (Game Reserve) with the mountains in the background.
LEEUPOORT HOLIDAY VILLAGE
Leeupoort Holiday Village is situated in the Nothern part of our country called the Limpopo Province. (It was previously called the Nothern Transvaal) The North Western Province is linked to the Limpopo Province by way of a secondary tarred road between a small place called Koedoeskop and Bela-Bela previously known as Warm Baths because of its well known mineral water resources.
Leeupoort Holiday Village lies about 72 Km from Bela-Bela, 55 Km from the town of Thabazimbe, 110 Km from Brits and approximatly 165 Km from Pretoria.
Our climate is hot in summer with ample rainy showers from about September to April, while we have the most beautifull mild climate during the winter time which is our dry period (with out rain) of the year.
Leeupoort is known for its lush vegetation which is typical Bushveld, providing ample grazing for a variety of antelope like giraffe, blue wildebeest, eland, Oryx, waterbuck, koedoes, njala, impala, bushbuck, duiker, steenbok, warthog and zebra and a great variety of beautiful birds. Animals roam freely on the farm and between houses and as a matter of fact in our gardens.
We are striving for a eco-town there for no animals, birds or plants must be disturbed. The main reason for people settling in Leeupoort is their love for nature. We can't be bothered by tarred roads or street lights because we are living in a game reserve.
Municipal services are provided by the Municipality of Thabazimbi as we are one of the satellite towns of Thabazimbi. We have ample water for our household needs as well as our gardens provided by two immensely strong boreholes.
There are about 500 houses in Leeupoort of which about 250 are inhabited permanently by mostly retired people. The rest of the houses are mainly holiday cottages. The whole of the game reserve is a real paradise specially for birdwatchers, game watchers and hikers for the whole development lies on a farm of about 1000 hectares. This is provided to people who would like to reside in Leeupoort Holliday Village.
Leeupoort Holiday Village is serviced by one (For better security control) entrance manned by security guards 24 hours a day.The whole village is fenced with special game fencing all round & they are planning to install a electrical fence all round as well.
Some owners rent out their properties to holiday makers as well as over weekends - this helps to cover the monthly cost & is also a nice income.
Rates & taxes is currently R36.69/m (Feb 2012), water ± R100 & Electricity is ± R200 (Depending on what you use)
Facilities at Leeupoort include a Café - general dealer, Caravan (Trailer) Park, Swimming pool, Liquor store & a Library.A docter visits Leeupoort once a week.
